I discovered Geocaching some years ago and it is a great way to explore and have fun.
The idea is that there are tupperware containers (called caches) hidden in beautiful locations, containing a few fun items.
Each container has its co-ordinates on its own web page. The idea is to use your GPS to find it, take out an item, replace it with something else, sign the log book and return the container to its hiding place.
You can then leave comments on its web page to share the fun with other geocachers. You can read all about it on the geocaching web site.

You need to register (absolutely free and totally safe) to see the co-ordinates but I really do recommend it. It is great fun and takes you to many beauty spots you would otherwise never find.
